When a squad of soon-to-be iconic Laguna Beach teens were contemplating love and life in their parents’ palatial homes, Jason was there. When those same teens hit their twenties and headed up to the hills over L.A. in search of fame and fortune, Jason kept the cameras rolling. When a famous Long Beach rapper put down the gin and juice for an E! show about fatherhood, Jason (himself a devoted father) executive produced. When a British record mogul wanted to find North American artists with a certain X factor, Jason directed multi-camera performances. And when a group of young hip hop aspirants sought out the mentorship and wisdom of Rick Ross aka Da Boss aka the Teflon Don aka Ricky Rozay, Jason was there again, walkie headset in-ear, capturing it all.
From live sets packed with fans to smoke-filled recording studios packed with Grammy winners, Jason Sands has spent his 20+ years in television chasing down stories basically everywhere.
He holds a BFA from NYU Tisch and lives in Los Angeles.
